JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Bima Arya stated that his party continues to oversee the acceleration of the realization of regional expenditures and Regional Cash Transfers (TKD) in the midst of low budget absorption until the end of 2025.
When facing President Prabowo Subianto, at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Bima said reports related to TKD would be submitted to the President if requested.
"We'll tell you later if the President asks for a report," said Bima Arya as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 27.
According to him, until now the realization of regional spending has not yet reached 70 percent, so the central government has again pushed for acceleration.
"We continue to boost the realization of spending. This gap is still a bit high, not yet up to 70 percent. The Minister is now specifically in eastern Indonesia to encourage the acceleration of spending," he said.
Bima Arya said the Ministry of Home Affairs would report the latest developments and continue to urge local governments to maximize budget absorption towards the end of the year.
"We will encourage regions to really maximize spending at the end of the year," he said.
Regarding regional fund deposits at the bank, Bima Arya said the problem was now clear and recorded.
He explained that some of the funds were deposited due to the cash management mechanism, including the Remaining Budget Financing (SILPA) which arose due to the difference between the ceiling and project value, as well as delays in the implementation of activities.
"I think it's clear, yes. So, the savings in the bank are cash management, which is because SILPA is positive because there is a difference between ceiling and project value," he said.
When asked whether the value of the deposit was still in the range of Rp. 200 trillion, Bima Arya said there was a data correction due to a number of input errors that previously occurred.
"There are some that have been corrected because there was a wrong input. The Minister has also conveyed it," he said.
