President Prabowo Issues Rehabilitation Rights For Former ASDP President Director Ira Puspadewi

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto signed a rehabilitation letter for three parties involved in the legal case of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry.

The decision was conveyed by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad in a press statement with Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya at the Presidential office, Jakarta, Tuesday, November 25.

"From the results of communication with the government, thank God there are today, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto has signed a letter of rehabilitation for the three names," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

He said the President had observed a series of communications between the DPR and the government regarding the dynamics of the case that had surfaced since July 2024.

Dasco explained, since the ASDP case began, the DPR has received various complaints and aspirations from the public and community groups.

Following up on this, the leadership of the DPR asked Commission III as a legal sector partner to conduct an in-depth study of the progress of the case investigation.

The study was then submitted to the government as consideration for the ongoing legal process.

The case in question is case number 68 / PISUS / DPK / 2025 at the Central Jakarta District Court with three related parties, respectively Ira Puspadewi, Muhammad Yusuf Hadi, and Harry Muhammad Adhi Tjaksono.

This case stems from a business decision taken by the directors of PT ASDP in 2019-2022, namely the business cooperation process (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara (JN).

Ira Puspadewi, as the President Director at the time, along with other board of directors, agreed and carried out the process.

Recently, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) found irregularities in the acquisition process which was considered against the law and did not apply the precautionary principle that should be in the SOE corporate decision.

The KPK suspects that this act resulted in state losses reaching Rp1.25 trillion, because it was considered enriching other parties (JN owners).

Even though the trial revealed that Ira Puspadewi personally did not receive financial benefits, the judge still found her guilty of heavy negligence in carrying out her duties and responsibilities.

Quoted from Online Law, the General Explanation of the Criminal Procedure Code states that rehabilitation or compensation is given to a person who is arrested, detained, prosecuted or tried for no reason based on law and or for mistakes regarding the person or the law applied.

Compensation of losses and rehabilitation has been given since the level of investigation and law enforcement officials, who intentionally or for their negligence caused the legal principle to be violated, prosecuted, convicted and or subject to administrative penalties
