West Java (Jabar) Governor Dedi Mulyadi said his party would repatriate residents of Dayeuhkolot District, Bandung Regency, Rizki Nur Fadhilah (18) who were said to be victims of trafficking in Cambodia, if the person concerned really wanted it.

Dedi said the West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) continues to coordinate with the West Java Regional Police and the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Cambodia to implement this.

"If you really want to return (repair), we will return it and we prepare a fee for its repatriation," said Governor Dedi Mulyadi in a statement in Bandung, Sunday, November 23.

Dedi also reminded all West Java residents to be careful when deciding to work abroad, especially with the lure of something big.

This case went viral on social media after Rizki's mother admitted that her son was a victim of trafficking in persons or TIP (People's Trafficking Crime).

According to his father, Dedi Solehudin, Rizki was initially offered a newly known person to be signed as a goalkeeper at a professional football club in Medan. Rizki is known to be a young goalkeeper who graduated from the Persib Training and Training Center.

Rizki was picked up on October 26, 2025 using a travel car to Jakarta. But instead of heading to Medan, he was even flown to Malaysia before finally landing in Cambodia.

Rizki's condition in Cambodia is said to be far from the shadow of being a footballer. He is also suspected of being treated badly in Cambodia.

Not a TIP victim

Over time, it was revealed that Rizki was not a victim of TIP, West Java Regional Police (Polda) confirmed this.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Hendra Rochmawan, revealed this based on an official report from the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, after previously Rizki was said to be a victim of TIP in Cambodia.

"The person concerned has been secured at the Indonesian Embassy in Cambodia and his condition is currently fine. That from the information we got from the Indonesian Embassy, Rizki is not a victim of TIP, and also not a case from TIP," said Hendra in Bandung, Thursday last week.

Hendra revealed that Rizki made a false confession to his family and the public to get sympathy.

In reality, he said, Rizki registered through social media and consciously accepted work as an operator of online fraud in Cambodia.

"He realized himself that he would be a scammer there with that much salary. He only suspected whether it was good or not, but talking to his parents was as a footballer at PSMS Medan," he said.

Hendra added that Rizki's repatriation process has a special mechanism, because his status is not a victim of TIP. The West Java Regional Police will still help coordinate with the Indonesian Embassy.

He said that upon arrival in Indonesia, Rizki would be asked for information regarding the chronology of his departure to various events there.
