Blessings Friday, Ditjenpas Distributes 1,000 Free Food Packages

The Directorate General of Corrections (Ditjenpas) held a Blessing Friday as a form of social concern and commitment to strengthening the role of Corrections that are beneficial to the community. Friday (21/11), as many as 1,000 free food packages were distributed to people who passed around the office environment as part of a routine program that continues to be expanded.

The Director General of Corrections (Dirjenpas) Mashudi said that the distribution of this food package is a form of social contribution as well as a reminder that the function of Corrections is not only related to coaching, but also present to help the community.

"We want the existence of Corrections to provide broad benefits. The spirit of sharing must be maintained, because public services are not only a matter of formal tasks, but also concern," said Mashudi.

The distribution of packages is led directly by the Director General of Social Affairs together with the ranks of employees. This activity is expected to strengthen relations between the Correctional and the community as an important partner in supporting fostering and social reintegration tasks.

Positive responses came from beneficiaries. One of the online motorcycle taxi drivers, said Rizal, expressed his gratitude.

"Alhamdulillah, it's okay for lunch. Thank you for sharing," he said briefly. He also considered that this blessed Friday activity was simple but able to provide real benefits to the community.

Friday Blessings is a way for Corrections to be present in the community as well as foster social awareness in the midst of their ranks.
