Former Director General Of Taxes And 4 People Banned Abroad Regarding Alleged Corruption Of Taxpayers At The Ministry Of Finance

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has confirmed that it has prevented five people from leaving the country in cases of alleged corruption related to reducing the obligation to pay taxes on companies/tax obligations in 2016-2020 by unscrupulous Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) RI.

"It's true, the Attorney General's Office has asked for discontinuation from several parties," said Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) at the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, confirmed in Jakarta, Thursday, that Antara had confiscated it.

The five people are former Director General (Dirjen) of Taxes Ken Dwijugiasteadi (KD), BNDP, HBP, KL, and VRH.

Anang also said that the five people are currently still witnesses.

Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections confirmed that the five people were prevented from traveling abroad based on the AGO's request.

This prevention is valid from November 14, 2025 to May 14, 2026.

Previously, the AGO had searched a number of places related to the 201620 tax corruption case.

"It's true, there have been legal actions in the form of searches in several places related to alleged corruption in reducing the obligation to pay taxation of companies/taxpayers in 2016-2020," said Head of the AGO's Pen for Law and Human Rights Anang Supriatna Monday, November 17.

He said this case was related to tax personnel at the Directorate of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.

Regarding the timing and location of the search, Anang did not reveal it. He also has not disclosed the case of this corruption case.

However, Anang said that this case had gone up to the investigation stage. "Yes (up fingerprints)," said Kapuspenkum.
