JAKARTA - Indonesian Political Houses (RPI) released the results of a national survey regarding the level of public trust in the performance of the Prabowo-Gibran government in law enforcement. The survey results show that the majority of respondents are positive for the government's performance in the sector. The survey release was submitted by the Director of RPI, Fernando Emas, in Jakarta, Wednesday 19 November.
Fernando explained that one of the indicators of law enforcement in the survey was seen from the public's assessment of the performance of law enforcement agencies (LPH). The majority of respondents said they were satisfied, with details of 32.9 percent saying they were satisfied, 24.5 percent were moderate, 21.9 percent were quite satisfied, and 6.7 percent were very satisfied. The respondents who were dissatisfied were recorded at 4.1 percent, while 9.9 percent did not provide answers.
Assessment of public optimism about improving law enforcement also shows a positive trend. According to Fernando, 38.5 percent of respondents expressed optimism that the condition of law enforcement would be getting better, 23.9 percent considered it moderate, 19.9 percent were quite confident, and 7.7 percent were very confident. Only 3.5 percent of respondents were unsure, while 6.5 percent chose not to answer.
RPI also explores public perceptions about eradicating corruption. As a result, the majority of respondents had high hopes for the agenda.
As many as 41.8 percent said they believed the eradication of corruption would be better, followed by 19.5 percent who rated it moderate, 17.9 percent were confident enough, and 5.6 percent were very confident. Meanwhile, 4.3 percent were unsure and 10.9 percent did not provide an answer.
Fernando added that this optimism also affected the level of community satisfaction with the government's performance in eradicating corruption.
The survey noted that 40.5 percent of respondents were satisfied, 23.7 percent were moderate, 20.2 percent were quite satisfied, and 4.1 percent were very satisfied. As for 2.4 percent of respondents said they were dissatisfied and 9.1 percent did not answer.
Regarding the performance of law enforcement agencies, RPI found that the National Police was in the top position as an institution with the best performance according to the public, although the difference was narrow with the Attorney General's Office.
The National Police received an assessment of 20.5 percent, followed by the Attorney General's Office 19.9 percent, the Supreme Court 18.5 percent, the Judicial Commission 16.5 percent, the KPK 12.9 percent, and the Constitutional Court 9.5 percent. As many as 2.2 percent of respondents did not provide answers.
Responding to these findings, Deputy Director of the Indonesian Voters Institute (LPI), Ali Ramadhan, assessed that the main indicator of democracy lies in the ability of the state to uphold the rule of law fairly and consistently. He said the challenge of law enforcement was still complex, ranging from eradicating corruption without intervention, accessing equal justice, to maintaining the integrity of the judiciary.
According to Ali, the results of the RPI survey show the large public expectations of the Prabowo-Gibran government to seriously improve law enforcement.
He assessed that LPH's performance has been in line with President Prabowo's directives, which want the rule of law to be enforced firmly and fairly.
"However, this performance must of course continue to be tested through concrete achievements and public evaluations in the following periods," he said.
The RPI national survey was conducted on November 9, 2025, against 1,280 respondents aged over 17 years from 38 provinces in Indonesia. The sampling was carried out through multistage random sampling, with a margin of error of 2.8 percent at a 95 percent confidence level. Respondents were interviewed directly by trained interviewers.
