The accident involved three vehicles, namely the Agra Mas bus number B 7654 KGA, Sinar Jaya Bus with number B 7895 TGA and a Gran Max minibus with number B 2508 TFT.

The five victims who died consisted of two passengers on the Agra Mas bus and three Gran Max passengers.

All victims, both those who died and those who were injured, were immediately evacuated to Abdul Radjak Hospital Purwakarta.

The accident occurred when the three vehicles drove on the Cipali Toll Road from Cirebon to Jakarta.

However, upon arrival at the scene or at KM 72+400, suddenly the Agra Mas Bus hit the Sinar Jaya Bus which was driving in front of it.

The Sinar Jaya bus, which was hit by the Agra Mas Bus from behind, then hit the Gran Max minibus vehicle in front, causing it to fall into the ditch on the side of the toll road.

The police from the Purwakarta Police Traffic Unit are still investigating the cause of the accident.
