JAKARTA - Aceh Police investigated allegations of corruption in the procurement of ducks at the Agriculture Office of Southeast Aceh Regency with a total budget of Rp8.4 billion

Head of Public Relations of Aceh Police Kombes Winardy said the procurement of the duck was sourced from the District Budget (APBK) of Southeast Aceh In Fiscal Year 2019.

"Investigators of the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of Aceh Police have conducted a case and improved the status of handling from the investigation to the investigation stage," said Kombes Winardy in Banda Aceh, reported by Antara, Saturday, May 22.

According to the police middle officer, the status of the handling of the case to the investigation after investigators found a number of evidence. However, investigators have not yet established a suspect.

At the investigation stage, said Kombes Pol Winardy, investigators have asked for information on 19 related parties. They are from the Agriculture Office of Southeast Aceh Regency and the executor of procurement and supply of goods.

"Investigators also secured 54 documents of the duck procurement work. Including the clarification of seven duck breeders to find out what the actual price of the duck," said Kombes Winardy.

In addition, said Kombes Pol Winardy, investigators have also asked BPKP Aceh Province to conduct an investigation audit of the procurement of the duck. As a result, it was found indications of state losses of Rp3 billion more.

"The examination of the relevant parties in the investigation phase will begin next week until the determination of the suspect. This process continues until the submission of case files, evidence, and suspects to the public prosecutor," Kombes Winardy said.
