"From the initial examination, members found 23 bales of used imported clothing in trucks and secured the driver with the initials D after receiving information from the public on Wednesday (12/11) in the Duren Sawit area, East Jakarta," said Director of Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Edy Suranta Sitepu as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, November 15.

He explained that the investigation was developed to Senen Market, Central Jakarta, and the police secured a person with the initials I as the coordinator of the recipient of the goods.

"Based on his statement, it is known that there are still two other trucks heading to Jakarta. The team immediately moved to Padalarang, West Bandung, and managed to secure two ankle trucks, three box cars, one Avanza, and seven drivers and kenek who brought a total of 184 bales of used imported clothing," said Edy.

All evidence and witnesses were brought to the Polda Metro Jaya for further investigation.

According to him, the instruction was also in line with the order of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo who emphasized the consistency of the National Police to continue to take action against all forms of smuggling used imported clothing.
