Fadli Zon Angers Israel To Violate Ceasefire In Palestine

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP) Fadli Zon is furious with Israel's actions that are again in force after the ceasefire agreement. He likened Israel to an untrustworthy figure.

Reportedly, clashes between Israeli police and Palestinians broke out again at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Friday, May 21. The incident occurred just hours after a ceasefire deal with Hamas was reached.

Fadli Zon's sharp criticism was immediately flooded with comments from netizens. At least the post has received more than 1,511 likes, many netizens also condemned israel's attacks after the ceasefire.

Earlier, Fadli Zon also considered the UN Security Council had failed in taking decisive action against Israel. This, he said, could undermine the credibility of the intergovernmental global institution.

"In relation to that, there is an urgent urgency to strengthen the role of the United Nations including to make the UN more democratic and independent and authoritative," Fadli Zon said.
