Dozens Of Teenagers In Kalsel Apply For Marriage

JAKARTA - Dozens of teenagers under the age of 19 in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, South Kalimantan, applied for marital dispensation to the Barabai Religious Court Office.

"Until April 2021 we recorded 24 people who applied for marital dispensation or applied to marry," said Pa Barabai Clerk, Ah. Murtadha in Barabai was quoted as saying friday, May 21.

"Compared to 2020 then in a year reached 54 people, and the application for dispensation is dominated by women," he said.

Not all applications for dispensation are granted by the panel of judges, only a few are granted. Those granted must meet such conditions, recommendations from relevant agencies or psychologists.

"Other conditions are tightened with parental commitment. In a sense, parents participate in monitoring their children's households," he said.

"The average granted by the judge is to see if his partner is able to build a home and who is approaching his age. Back to the judge's decision," he explained.

The dispensation granted from the track record of the last five years has not been a problem. His parents' commitments also had to go.

Currently, murtadha continued, PA has held an MoU or agreement with Dinsos in the field of Protection of Women and Children.
