BOGOR Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) University expressed its appreciation to the President of the Republic of Indonesia for the appointment of the Chancellor of IPB University, Prof. Arif Satria, as Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). Chairman of the Board of Trustees (MWA) of IPB University, Prof. Dr. Hardinsyah, assessed the appointment as a form of appreciation for the academic capacity, leadership, and contribution of IPB University at the national level.

He added that the big family of IPB University fully supports Prof. Arif in his new position. "We ask for prayers and support from the government, the private sector, and all BRIN stakeholders so that Prof. Arif can carry out this mandate as well as possible and bring progress to national research and innovation that has an impact on the welfare of the people and the competitiveness of the nation," he added.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of MWA IPB University, Dr. Rinekso Soekmadi, emphasized that the mechanism for filling the rector position has been clearly regulated in MWA regulations.
"MWA IPB University has a procedure for filling the rector's position in the event of a vacancy. This process will be carried out in accordance with applicable regulations to ensure the sustainability of IPB University leadership and governance," explained Dr. Rinekso.
