Not Violating The Code Of Ethics, MKD Activates Again Adies Kadir-Uya Kuya Becomes A Member Of The DPR

JAKARTA - The House of Representatives' Honorary Court (MKD) decided that the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives was inactive from the Golkar Party faction, Adies Kadir was not proven to have violated the council's code of ethics. So that Adies' status was reactivated as a member of the DPR.

However, MKD requested that in the future, Adies be more careful in maintaining behavior and words. The reason is, Adies had mistakenly explained about the increase in allowances for DPR members last August.

"To declare the defendant one, that Adies Kadir was not proven to have violated the code of ethics. Second, asking the defendant one to be careful in conveying information and maintaining behavior in the future," said Deputy Chairman of the DPR MKD, Adang Daradjatun at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 5.

"Third, stating that the defendant was one, Adies Kadir was activated as a member of the DPR as of the time since this decision was read out," he continued.

Adies Kadir was submitted to the MKD for allegedly violating the code of ethics due to a wrong statement on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 in the Parliament Complex area, Senayan, Central Jakarta. Namely, stating that Rp. 3 million per month is the cheapest budget to rent a boarding house in Jakarta, and if multiplied by one month such as 26 days, members of the DPR spend around Rp. 78 million per month.

Adies said that members of the DPR were still silent if they received an official housing allowance of Rp. 50 million per month.

Then Adies, also mentioned that the rice allowance for council members reached Rp. 10 million and increased to Rp. 12 million per month, the gasoline allowance increased from Rp. 3 million to Rp. 7 million per month.

The statement immediately ignited the public's anger. This is because the increase in allowances with fantastic numbers is considered too large in the midst of difficult people's economic conditions, mass layoffs, and the performance of legislative institutions which have been far from the expectations of the people.

The complainant also considered that Adies was also not careful in responding to the issue of salary increases and allowances for DPR members. And it is considered to provide information without being supported by correct data even though it has clarified it on August 20, 2025.

Apart from Adies Kadir, MKD also reactivated PAN faction member Surya Utama alias Uya Kuya as a member of the DPR. Uya is considered not to violate the code of ethics when dancing during the MPR annual afternoon and the session with the DPR-DPD RI because there is no information regarding the increase in salaries and allowances for members of the DPR.

"Stating that the three defendants, Surya utama, were not proven to have violated the code of ethics. And stated that three suspects, the main solar was activated as a member of the DPR as of the time since this decision was read out," added Adang.

Unlike Adies and Uya Kuya, members of the NasDem faction Ahmad Sahroni and Nafa Urbach were declared to have violated the code of ethics and were disabled as members of the DPR. Sahroni was sanctioned for six months, and Nafa was sanctioned for three months.

Meanwhile, a member of the PAN faction, Eko Hendro Purnomo alias Eko Patrio, was also declared to have violated the code of ethics with non-active sanctions as a member of the DPR for four months.

MKD stated that all defendants would not receive salary rights during the inactive period.
