Support National Development, UIN Jakarta Guyur Scholarships Of IDR 2.85 Billion For Lecturers And Tendik

JAKARTA State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta distributed educational scholarships worth IDR 2.85 billion. This massive injection of funds is prepared to increase the capacity of 138 Human Resources (HR) in the campus environment, including lecturers and education personnel (tendik).

The distribution of this scholarship is claimed to be UIN Jakarta's commitment in facing the challenges of institutional transformation as well as supporting the vision of national development.

"There are still many human resources that we have to improve, for example, there are still lecturers who have not gone to doctor, or tend from the doctoral board who want to have a master's degree and are in master's degree and so on," said the Chancellor of UIN Jakarta, Asep Saepudin Jahar, in Jakarta, quoted from ANTARA, Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

The Ambition Of The Transformation Of PTNBH Is The Key

According to data from the Jakarta UIN HR Team, of the 138 recipients, the most target assistance is for doctoral programs (S3), followed by 19 undergraduate levels (S1), 18 master (S2), and 10 people in the pursuit of packages equivalent to junior high and high school.

Chancellor Asep Saepudin Jahar firmly stated that this scholarship was part of an effort to accelerate the institutional transformation of UIN Jakarta into a State University of Legal Entity (PTNBH).

"I have to say here that UIN is given a strict mandate by the ministry to transform into PTNBH, and that must be done this year and next year," he said.

He emphasized that reliable human resources are the main key so that PTNBH management can run optimally. Bureaucratic reform, he said, really depends on the quality of human resources in it.

This commitment is not a pleasant thing. Chancellor Asep Jahar even promised an increase in the scholarship budget of up to IDR 4 billion next year.

"HR is key, because one of the parts that we emphasize is bureaucratic reform, and bureaucratic reform is in human resources," he said.

Support for Asta Cita

Furthermore, Chancellor Asep Saepudin Jahar connected the improvement in the quality of this human resource with the direction of national policy. He called this support for UIN Jakarta for Asta Cita Presiden Prabowo Subianto, especially in the fourth point which focuses on strengthening human resource development, science, technology, and education.

"We see that Pak Prabowo and the Ministry of Religion are very concerned about improving human resources, in this case lecturers and tendik, so that they can make important contributions to the community," he explained.

The Chancellor hopes that aid recipients can complete their studies on time, ensuring they can return to campus directly to provide "excelent" services.

Increased Scholarship Budget Drastics

Meanwhile, Deputy Chancellor II of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Imam Subchi, detailed the jump in the scholarship budget at the campus.

He explained that in 2022, scholarship assistance only reached Rp577 million. This figure had dropped in 2023 to Rp415 million. However, since the change in the rector's leadership, the nominal scholarships have jumped dramatically.

"In 2024 it will increase to IDR 585 million, in 2025 it will increase to IDR 2.85 billion. This increase in scholarships is part of the leadership's commitment, especially the Chancellor of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in order to strengthen human resources within UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta," concluded Imam Subchi.
