Swell, 12,814 People In Aceh Positive For COVID-19

JAKARTA - Aceh's COVID-19 Handling Task Force said 199 people were positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases to 12,814.

"Today the positive cases of COVID-19 in Aceh increased by 199 people, the most of banda Aceh residents reached 48 people," said Aceh COVID-19 Spokesman Saifullah Abdulgani in Banda Aceh, reported antara, Thursday. May 20th.

In addition, he said, as of today there are also two COVID-19 patients who were declared cured, namely the people of South Aceh and Aceh Tamiang. As well as three patients who died.

"Three COVID-19 sufferers who died in the last 24 hours are one South Acehnese and two Aceh Tamiang residents," he said.

As of Thursday, May 20, the total cases of COVID-19 in Aceh have reached 12,814 people, among them 10,469 survivors, 1,830 patients and 515 people who have died.

Saifullah mentioned that of the 23 districts/cities in Aceh, only three are yellow zones or low risk of COVID-19 transmission namely East Aceh, Central Aceh and West Aceh.

"The rest, the other 20 districts/cities are orange zones or the risk of COVID-19 transmission," he said.

Therefore, he asked residents to become zoning maps as an evaluation of COVID-19 response.

This is a navigational instrument for the COVID-19 Task Force in formulating policies and approaches for handling pandemics in areas ranging from improving testing, tracking and treatment and increasing hospital capacity, he said.

According to him, the risk zoning map should be a social reference for the community to more discipline apply health protocols ranging from wearing masks, keeping distance, washing hands, avoiding crowds and reducing mobility.

"If all parties have the same perception in attitudes and actions to prevent and decide the transmission of coronavirus, Insha Allah Aceh will be better in the future," he said.
