JAKARTA - The Maritime and Fisheries Quality Control and Supervision Agency (Badan Mutu) of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) has prepared a Cesium-137 free certification scheme and management to support Indonesian shrimp exports.
"KKP through the Mutu Body has prepared a Cs-137 free certification scheme and management in accordance with the requirements set by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Import Alert #99-52," said Head of the KKP Quality Agency Ishartini in a statement in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, November 2.
He conveyed this to provide excellent service to the community and encourage healthy, quality, and safe shrimp export activities to be consumed for acceptance in the destination country.

"On October 31, 2025, it is the entry-to-effect date for the Import Alert 99-52 regulation in the US and is also the first export of free Indonesian shrimp Cs-137. We want to show that Indonesia has an international level quality assurance system," said Ishartini.
