JAKARTA - An unidentified man's body was found by residents of RT 07/RW 13, Kemanggisan, Palmerah, West Jakarta (Jakbar), at the Inspection River on Thursday, October 30, noon.
"There is a neighbor I was defecating. When I looked down, there were hands with my head. Immediately he called another resident to make sure it was a person or not," said a local resident, Romsyah (32) at the scene, Friday, October 31.
According to him, the body was found at around 10:00 WIB and began to be evacuated by the police at 12.00 WIB.
However, before being evacuated by the police, residents first reported the incident to the local RT.
"It's in the swelling (of the body), it looks like it's 50 years," said Romsyah.
Separately, the Palmerah Police Chief, Kompol Gomos Simamora, confirmed that the victim was a male and was a resident who was swept away in the Jatipulo area, Palmerah, West Jakarta.
