JAKARTA - The flood that had hit 53 RTs in the South Jakarta area, eventually gradually receded in most areas on Friday, October 31, noon.

Based on a report from the DKI Jakarta BPBD at 10.00 WIB, flood inundation only remains in 5 RTs in the South Jakarta area.

"BPBD noted that currently the inundation occurred in 5 RTs until 10:00 WIB," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Mohamad Yohan when confirmed by VOI.

The five RTs that are still flooded are in Jati Padang Village with a water level of 40 cm.

"The cause was the overflow of the PHB River and the collapse of the Baswedan embankment and high rainfall," he said.

A number of residents affected by the flood were placed in refugee tents located at Al Ridwan Mosque, Jati Padang Village.

"There are 10 people who have fled," he said.

Meanwhile, the areas that had receded on Friday morning were in Duren Tiga Village, there were 5 RTs and 1 RT in Pela Mampang Village.

BPBD DKI Jakarta continues to deploy personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each region.

Previously, it was reported that flood inundation in the South Jakarta area again expanded to 53 RT on Thursday, October 30, at 20.00 WIB. The inundation occurred in a number of Kelurahan areas in South Jakarta.
