The Tanjung Priok Police and the National Police Forensic Laboratory Center Team (Puslabfor) conducted a crime scene (TKP) of fire for residents on Jalan Papanggo 3A, RT 011/05, Papanggo Village, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta on Wednesday afternoon, October 29.

"The Puslabfor team conducted a thorough examination of the burned area, including taking samples of material suspected of being a source of fire," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanjung Priok Police, AKP Handam Samudro when confirmed, Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Furthermore, the National Police's Puslabfor team documented through photos and videos in all hot areas. The team took some pieces of evidence in the form of cable, solid and liquid materials from inside the crime scene.

"We have installed a police line again at the TKP," he said.

Meanwhile, from the results of the initial examination, the National Police's Puslabfor Team is still conducting an analysis process of samples taken at the location.

Meanwhile, regarding the information on the alleged intentional factor, AKP Handam has not been able to confirm it. Meanwhile, the suspected arson is still a witness.

The fire case is still under investigation by the Tanjung Priok Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

Previously, it was reported that the two level houses that were rented out on Jalan Papanggo 3, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta, were burned down on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

According to residents, the fire was allegedly caused by an elderly man who set fire to a rented room hordeng, suspected of committing suicide.

"Allegedly due to the burning of the house by the elderly. The identity of the perpetrator is not yet known," said one resident who declined to be named, Sunday, October 12, 2025.

The two houses that were rented had different rooms. The first house that caught fire had 3 doors to the rented room that were affected. Meanwhile, the second house that caught fire had 2 doors to the rented room that caught fire.
