Rizieq Shihab Won't Accept, Ahok, Gibran, Bobby Nasution, And Jokowi Also Create Crowds

JAKARTA - Former High Priest of the Fron Pembela Islam (FPI) Habib Rizieq Shihab did not accept because only himself became a suspect in the case of the crowd. According to him, many of the crowd were not penalized.

For example, says Rizieq, the crowd violated health protocols by a number of state officials. Supposedly, if making a crowd is penalized, then everyone should be treated equally in the eyes of the law.

"If the public prosecutor's opinion (JPU) is true that the violation of prokes is a crime of prokes, then it means that the violators of prokes throughout Indonesia, without exception, are all criminals, including all national figures, ranging from artists to officials, including ministers and presidents," Rizieq said while reading a memorandum of defense at the East Jakarta District Court, Thursday, May 20.

Rizieq detailed the crowd, among others, a birthday event attended by Basuki Tjahaja Purnama aka Ahok and several artists. Unfortunately, the crowd didn't make it to the criminal.

"Ahok and Raffi Ahmad after attending the birthday party of businessman and driver, Ricardo Gelael, on January 13, 2021 which he judged to be holding a crowd and violating health protocols," Rizieq said.

Then, the crowd of Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Bobby Nasution during the 2020 regional elections in Solo and Medan.

In fact, the crowd of President Joko Widodo in Maumere and The Minister of Tourism of The Republic of Indonesia Sandiaga Uno joined rizieq's satire.

In addition, Rizieq also alluded to the violation of the new prokes, namely the crowd at ancol tourist attraction. About 39,000 people were present there to coincide with the second day of Eid al-Fitr or May 14, 2021.

" (The crowd) due to the Government's decision on banning homecoming but tourism remains open," he said.

Meanwhile, Rizieq Shihab was sentenced to 10 months in prison for alleged crowding and violations of health protocols (prokes) in Megamendung. Rizeq was also fined Rp50 million subsider 3 months in prison.

Rizieq is considered to have violated Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine or Article 14 paragraph (1) of Law Number 4 of 1984 concerning Infectious Disease Outbreaks or Article 216 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
