JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Yuke Yurike, stated that his party supports the plan of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung to build an international standard hospital on the Sumber Waras land.

However, this support was given on condition that the land legal status was completely clear and no longer caused polemics.

"Basically, as long as there are no more legal problems, as long as the legal status is clear, we support the construction of the Sumber Waras Hospital," Yuke told reporters, Tuesday, October 28.

The plan to build a hospital on the Sumber Waras land is actually not new. This project was planned several years ago, but was stopped due to a legal dispute related to the purchase of land by the DKI Provincial Government during the previous administration.

Yuke assessed that Pramono's move to revive this project was a form of policy sustainability with a more careful approach.

"This plan has actually been a long time ago, it's just that it was delayed due to past polemics. We heard that currently the Governor has made this project one of the priorities to be completed," he explained.

According to Yuke, before technical discussion is carried out, the DKI Provincial Government needs to ensure that the legal aspect of the land has been completed so that development can run without administrative or legal barriers. After that, the DPRD will only review the financing plan and the hospital management model.

"The important thing is that the legal basis is safe first. After that, it can be discussed in more detail, including the budget issue, whether to continue the old one or there is a new scheme," he said.

He hopes that the DKI Provincial Government will immediately provide an official explanation to the DPRD regarding the results of legal studies and funding plans so that this strategic project can be realized immediately.

"We hope that there will be clarity soon so that the project can run," said Yuke.
