Remove 2 Million Lists Of Social Assistance Recipient Families, Minister Of Social Affairs: Unfit

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) noted that as many as two million beneficiary families (KPM) were declared unfit for social assistance (bansos) both regular and additional cash assistance in midway IV in 2025.

Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf said the results were obtained from field tests and data verification carried out with local governments in the last five days to ensure that the distribution of social assistance was right on target.

According to him, this data adjustment is important because there are more than 15 million new prospective recipients who are being verified for the regular social assistance program - as well as temporary cash assistance (BLTS) in mid-October-November-December worth IDR 900 thousand.

"Yes, once again I ask for patience because this new one still needs a crosscheck to a number of parties. Yes, hopefully, by November it will be distributed all," he said.

Apart from that, the Ministry of Social Affairs appreciates every regional head who is responsive in updating the data on beneficiaries.

As for the verification results or data back from the regions, he said, it would be the basis for the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to strengthen the validation and updating of National Socio-Economic Data (DTSEN) for the accuracy of the distribution of social assistance in the future.
