Reported Cases Of Embezzlement Of IDR 1 Billion, Celebrity From Cianjur Mangkir From Police Calls

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Metro Police are investigating reports of alleged embezzlement that dragged a celebrity and a businessman from Cianjur with the initials RW

Deputy Head of the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Igo Fazar Akbar, said that his party was still investigating the report.

"We are still in the investigation process. We are still investigating the witnesses," he said.

In addition to digging up information from the reporting witness and the reported party, investigators have also summoned expert witnesses to investigate reports of alleged embezzlement.

However, according to AKP Igo, RW as the reported party did not attend to fulfill the summons.

"We have invited them but they are not present," said Igo

Investigators also plan to recall SW for questioning regarding the alleged embezzlement report.

The South Jakarta Police actually conducted a case on June 3, 2024.

However, investigators are still having problems because one of the key witnesses named M Shaheen Shah alias Dato Sri Shaheen is a fugitive.

RW was previously reported by an advocate named Noverizky Tri Putra.

Noverizky said that at that time RW borrowed Rp1 billion from him and Rp1.5 billion from Arif Budiman under the pretext of being a bailout fund to help his Malaysian colleague M Shaheen who was involved in legal problems at the Bali Police.

Dato Sri Shaheen is a Malaysian citizen with the status of the People's Wanted List (DPO) and the Red Notice for the INTERPOL search list.

RW also admitted that he was a representative of Dato Sri Shaheen in Indonesia

However, when it arrived at the agreed time, RW did not return the money he borrowed.

"In fact, he evaded that he had borrowed money. Even though the evidence was clear. I also have a video of handing over the money," said Noverizky.

Before taking criminal steps, Noverizky had won the PKPU lawsuit against RW at the Central Jakarta Commercial Court.

The victory, according to him, could strengthen the criminal element of embezzlement which is currently being processed at the South Jakarta Police.

Nove added that the alleged embezzlement by RW was getting stronger when he pocketed a statement letter from Dato Shaheen.

Through a statement, Dato Sri Shaheen admitted that he had never received Rp2.5 billion from RW

In the same statement, Dato Sri Shaheen also denied signing or approving a representative appointment letter dated March 7, 2023 and a statement on July 14, 2023 to RW which was previously used as evidence at the Commercial Court at the Central Jakarta District Court.

"When it comes to evidence, everything is complete. Investigators should not hesitate to raise this case to be detained and identify the suspect," he said.

Nove admitted that he had been asked for additional information as a reported party on Thursday, October 23.

On the same date, RW as the reported party was also summoned, but was not present.

Nove menduga, RW takut hadir lantaran sudah merasa kondisinya terdesak.

"Informasi dari penyidik dia (RW) tidak datang memenuhi panggilan. Dugaan saya dia takut karena saya punya bukti yang lengkap," ungkap Noverizky.

Nove suspected that RW was afraid to attend because he felt he was in a state of urgency.

"Information from investigators he (RW) did not come to fulfill the summons. My guess is he is afraid because I have complete evidence," said Noverizky.

Nove hopes that this case will be clear and that RW will be named a suspect.

"If left unchecked, pity other RW victims. Several people have contacted me and claimed to be victims of alleged fraud committed by this RW," said Nove.
