Will Build Hospitals In Sumber Waras Land, Pramono Asks Minister Of Health To Prepare International Doctors

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung plans to build an international standard hospital on land next to the Sumber Waras Hospital, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta.

Pramono also asked Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin to be able to prepare doctors who meet international medical qualifications so that they can work in the hospital when operated later.

This was revealed by Pramono when he met Budi Gunadi Sadikin at the Ministry of Health office, Jalan Rasuna Said, South Jakarta.

"We certainly also expect support from the central government for doctors with international standards," said Pramono, Tuesday, October 28.

In addition, Pramono also hopes that the Ministry of Health can help facilitate the provision of international standard medical devices.

To the central government, Pramono also requested that the construction of an international hospital on the Sumber Waras land be a national strategic project (PSN) or as one of the government's priority projects.

"Of course we hope that in accordance with PP 42 of 2021 concerning PSN, national strategic projects, we propose, if this is approved by the central government, we will propose for it," said Pramono.

"We have received about how much money is needed for it because the central government's experience in building hospitals in some areas can be our benchmarking to carry out calculations.

Furthermore, Pramono admitted that he would ask the central government for assistance in funding for the construction of this hospital. The DKI Provincial Government requested that the discourse on placing funds to Himbara banks from the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) also be channeled to Bank Jakarta with a value of Rp. 10 trillion. Funding to the DKI Provincial Government Regional Development Bank (BPD) will also be used to build the hospital.

"If it will soon enter Rp10 trillion from the central government, from the Ministry of Finance, then it can be used to build this place. That is the first alternative with interest rates, which of course business is still regulated transparently," he explained.

Meanwhile, Budi Gunadi Sadikin supports the plan to build an international hospital on the Sumber Waras land. Budi assessed that currently Indonesia still needs hospitals that have high quality health facilities. So, people no longer need to go abroad for maximum treatment.

"The governor conveyed the idea of what if it was built by an international hospital to reduce the number of patients going abroad because Jakarta has many patients going abroad," said Budi.

Budi ensured that his ministry would fully support the plan, including in terms of the quality of medical personnel and hospital service standards.

"We support 100 percent. As residents of Jakarta, we want if we can if we are sick, we don't have to go abroad, here. This is also in line with the direction of the President as well. Let's build a good hospital," he said.
