Babakan Ciparay Bandung Fire, 12 Kayu Kiosks Ludes Dilap Api

BANDUNG - The Bandung City Fire and Rescue Service (DPMKP) deployed 14 fire engines to extinguish the fire that hit 12 wooden stalls in Sukahaji Village, Babakan Ciparay District, Bandung City.

The Head of the Bandung City DPMKP Outage, Leonard, revealed that his party received a report on Tuesday, October 28 at 04.32 WIB and immediately dispatched a team.

"We arrived at the location about 13 minutes after reports came in with a burning object of approximately 12 kiosks, with an area of about 120 square meters," Leonard said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday morning.

Leon explained that the 12 kiosks that burned mostly sold burnt palette wood in the incident.

According to him, wood material that is flammable becomes a challenge in the process of extinguishing the fire.

The difficulty is in the piled up wood material, so it is a bit difficult for us to access the hotspots at the bottom.

"We need to inject water into some parts to make sure there are no firearms left under the piles of wood," Leon said.

Although the fire grew rapidly, he ensured that there were no casualties or injuries in this incident.

"No residents have been relocated. Only kiosks have been affected," he said.

Leon said that currently his party is deploying an investigation team to investigate the cause of the fire.

"We are still calculating for material losses," said Leon.

He said the fire repeated a similar incident that occurred at the same location point on Thursday (10/4), which at that time scorched about 45 wooden stalls.
