JAKARTA - Russian President Vladimir Putin will host North Korean Foreign Minister (North Korea) Choe Son Huidi in the Kremlin, Moscow on Monday 27 October tonight.

Citing AFP, North Korea's top diplomat visited Russia to strengthen military and political relations between the two countries amid the Ukraine war.

Previously, Choe Son Huidi praised the "spiritual" closeness between Russia and North Korea during a meeting with Russian Federation Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during his visit to the Russian capital.

So far, the intimate North Korea-Russia relationship has been marked by the signing of a joint defense pact between Putin and North Korean President Kim Jong Un last year.

Followed by sending thousands of North Korean troops to assist the Russian army against Ukrainian forces in the western Kursk region.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Putin would host Choe, but gave no details on what the two would discuss.

The visit is the latest in a series of diplomatic exchanges between the two countries and comes just days after Kim Jong Un vowed to improve military relations with Russia.
