JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has officially transferred the traders of the Peliharaan Barito Animal Market to the Fauna Center and Lenteng Agung Culinary, South Jakarta, along with their stalls starting today.
The transfer was carried out after the DKI Provincial Government issued a third warning letter (SP3) to a number of traders who previously remained in the Barito Market area on the edge of Ayodya Park, Kebayoran Baru.
DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung explained that traders will be free of kiosk rental fees for six months to help them adapt to new locations. After that period ends, traders will be subject to kiosk levies at a rate of between Rp. 150,000 to Rp. 200,000 per month.
"Of the 125 kiosks at the Fauna Lenteng Agung Center, I have decided to give them free for six months, both kiosks and water. Because I know for sure the first two or three months are very heavy, socialization must be done," said Pramono at Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, Monday, October 27.
Sentra Fauna and Culinary Lenteng Agung have 125 kiosks with various functions. The facility consists of 22 culinary kiosks in zone A, amphitheaters in zone B, 74 bird stalls and animal feed in zones C and D, as well as 29 additional parsel stalls and culinary delights in zone E.
The DKI Provincial Government also complements the area with various public facilities, such as toilets, prayer rooms, and parking areas. In addition, art and cultural performance areas and social interaction rooms are provided. Pramono said that the DKI Provincial Government will hold various promotional activities so that traders in the new location are increasingly recognized by the public.
"Now 125 kiosks in Lenteng Agung have all been completed, everything can be used, including water. We will also set up an animal clinic in that place if later the majority of them are animal traders," said Pramono.
With the move of the traders of Pasar Barito, the DKI Provincial Government can continue the plan to build the Pusaka Flag Park, which will combine Langsat Park, Ayodya Park, and Leuser Park into one integrated green area.
The nearly six-hectare park will be equipped with bridge connecting the bridge, jogging track, children's playground, multipurpose room, and amphitheater for art and cultural performances.

The integration of these three parks is entirely for the needs of the community, becoming a green open zone. There is jogging track, there are places for people to do activities, there is no individual interest. This is for the people of Jakarta, so that green open spaces in this city can increase significantly," said Pramono.
