JAKARTA - The Indramayu Resort Police (Polres) arrested five suspected perpetrators of the beating of a doctor with the initials B (37) in Anjatan District, Indramayu Regency, West Java.
"The five suspected perpetrators who are currently detained have the initials R (42), H (45), S (41), Su (53), and T (47)," said Head of the Indramayu Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Muchammad Arwin Bachardi Indramayu, Sunday.
He said the beating began with the alleged damage to the victim's car which was informed by his wife on Thursday (23/10).
Arwin said that the vehicle was hit by someone suspected of being a local village apparatus, then several people chased it to the victim's residence.
"The victim who worked at a hospital (in Indramayu) immediately went home after receiving the news, and arrived home at around 14.30 WIB," he said.
He said that when he was about to ask about the incident, the victim was actually intercepted and ganged up together by several perpetrators in front of his residence.
As a result of the beating, he said, the victim suffered injuries to the right cheek, left forehead and back of the right ear.

He said the victim then reported the incident to the local police for further legal handling, until finally five suspected perpetrators were arrested.
"After receiving the report, we immediately carried out a series of investigations in the field. Then carried out an initial examination," he said.
