TNI officials from Kodim 0205/Tanah Karo found a marijuana field area of about one reante (20x20 meters) in the Simbuatan forest area, Pancur Batu Village, Brand District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra.
"The team is still investigating to reveal who planted the prohibited plants. Destruction will be carried out together, Saturday (25/10) morning," said Dandim 0205/TK Lt. Col. Inf. Robert Panjaitan as reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 24.
The findings stemmed from a local resident's report to Babinsa Koramil 02/Threepanah at around 09.00 WIB. Residents who declined to be named informed that there were suspicious plants in the forest area that were strongly suspected of being marijuana.
Following up on the report, Babinsa immediately reported to Danramil 02/Three-panah Captain Inf Krista Ginting, who then forwarded the information to Dandim 0205/TK Lt. Col. Inf. Robert Panjaitan.
