The First Car Thief In Jayawijaya Papua, The Actors Are Angry 2 Months Too Late For Salaries Of US Citizens

JAKARTA - Personnel from the Jayawijaya Police at the Papua Police arrested a man with the initials EM because he was involved in a car theft case. This case first occurred in Jayawijaya.

Jayawijaya Police Chief AKP Agus Kuswanto said the victim in this incident was a citizen of the United States. The victim lives temporarily in Jayawijaya.

"We have secured the suspect and the evidence", said the police chief. The police chief added that the perpetrator broke the ignition key of the car using the T key.

In the action, the perpetrator was assisted by a colleague who is still being hunted by the police. Based on the testimony of the witness who was cleaning the victim's house, two people forcibly unlocked the car and took the car out.

The perpetrator initially worked at the home of an American citizen. Angry at not being paid a salary, the perpetrator finally took a shortcut and stole the car.

"He said that his two months' salary had not been paid. So he deliberately took the car. Only the way to get it was using the T key, so we considered it an act of theft", he said.

The police persuasively detained the prime suspect so that he did not fight back when he was picked up. This car theft was reported on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at the house belonging to Bas Mexi (the victim).
