It's Been 11 Years Fugitive, Fredy Pratama Is Still The Main Target Of The Police

Drug giant Fredy Pratama is still a fugitive from the National Police until now. Even though he has been on the wanted list (DPO) since 2014, his whereabouts have not been tracked. The National Police acknowledged that there were a number of obstacles in the pursuit of Fredy's international drug network.

The Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Pol Eko Hadi Santoso, said the main obstacle in hunting for Fredy Pratama was the movement of the kingpin who was very agile and often moved from location to location.

"The main obstacle, who was chased by running. Moving here and there," said Eko Hadi in Jakarta, Wednesday, October 22.

Eko emphasized that in this case, obstacles in the field are normal. However, his party remains committed to finding solutions so that Fredy Pratama can be immediately arrested and prosecuted.

"There must be obstacles in chasing a fugitive, but we are constantly looking for solutions so that law enforcement continues," he stressed.

According to Eko, the National Police has submitted a red notice to Interpol through the National Police's International Relations Division (Hubinter), because it is strongly suspected that Fredy is currently not in Indonesian jurisdiction.

"Hubinter cooperates with Interpol and other relevant institutions because the person is not in our jurisdiction," said Eko.

Fredy Pratama is an Indonesian citizen who is said to be one of the controllers of the international drug trafficking network from Thailand. He is dubbed the Escobar Southeast Asia because of the network scale and volume of drug trafficking he controls.

Since being included in the National Police's DPO list in 2014, Fredy is suspected of continuing to change countries to avoid being chased by officers. Thailand is said to be one of its hiding locations. He is suspected of still regulating the distribution of methamphetamine and ecstasy to Indonesia through cross-border networks.

Although the pursuit has been going on for a long time, Bareskrim Polri ensures that international coordination will continue to be strengthened to arrest the fugitive. Fredy Pratama's arrest was a priority because of his role as the mastermind behind many drug smuggling cases in Indonesia.
