JAKARTA - The United Nations Agency for Assistance and Work for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) said Israeli occupation authorities were carrying out demolition operations in the northern West Bank and forced residents to flee their territory.
UNRWA said in a statement on Wednesday, Jenin Camp, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams had been dismantled and residents were prevented from returning, as reported by WAFA Oct. 22.
UNRWA further noted that the violence of the occupation and expansion forces of settlements had caused the forced expulsion of Palestinians from their lands.
UNRWA warns that these practices pave the way for annexation.
UNRWA added, "Israel's law against the agency has resulted in the closure of UN schools in the West Bank and the dismissal of international staff."
Separately, medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday that the death toll from Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip had reached 68,234, while 170,373 people have been injured since the conflict with Israel broke out in the enclave on October 7, 2023.
