AGO Invites Sandra Dewi To Sue Her Husband's Asset Confiscation Harvey Moeis

The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) has invited celebrity Sandra Dewi to raise her objection to the confiscation of her assets related to the corruption case in the management of tin commodity trading in the mining business permit (IUP) area of PT Timah in 2015 2022.

"Go ahead. It is also regulated in Article 19 of the Anti-Corruption Law, where third parties feel aggrieved to file a court," said Head of the AGO's Legal Information Center Anang Supriatna in Jakarta, Tuesday.

Anang reminded that the objection should be immediately submitted to the court because there is a time limit.

"When the request is submitted to court, later of course the mechanism will be questioned both from the Prosecutor's Office itself, as well as from Sandra Dewi's side who asks for objections," he added.

Anang said the prosecutor respected the objection and ensured that the public prosecutor (JPU) was ready to explain the things Sandra Dewi objected to in court.

"If indeed the applicant has a strong alibi and basis, of course if there is a court decision that is inkrah against the objection, we will return it. We respect whatever the court's decision is. However, we believe that the investigator's actions are correct and must have their own arguments and this is considered as well," he said.

Celebrities and the wife of the convict in the lead corruption case, Harvey Moeis, Sandra Dewi, objected to the confiscation of her assets related to the tin corruption case.

Central Jakarta District Court spokesman Andi Saputra said the trial was currently underway to object to the confiscation of the assets proposed by Sandra in her husband's corruption case.

"Whether the objection is granted or not, it is the authority of the panel of judges to judge it," said Andi.

He mentioned some of the assets that Sandra objected to, namely a number of jewelry; two condominium units in Gading Serpong housing, Tangerang, Banten; houses in Pakubuwono housing, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta; houses in Permata Regency, Jakarta; savings in blocked banks; as well as a number of bags.

Andi also revealed that Sandra Dewi's objection hearing had entered the evidentiary agenda by presenting experts on Friday, October 17.

"The trial is chaired by the Chairman of the Panel of Judges Rios Rahmanto. The legal basis for the above objection hearing is Article 19 of the Corruption Crime Act," he said.
