Police Don't Find Bullying Causes Of Udayana Timothy Student Death

Police officers did not find any allegations of bullying as the cause of death experienced by a student at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Udayana, Bali, with the initials Timothy Anugerah Saputra.

West Denpasar Police Chief KompolLaksmiTrisnadewiWieryawan said that from the results of the examination of witnesses, both lecturers, students, and friends of the victim, investigators did not find any evidence of bullying while the victim was still alive.

The witnesses examined were also not aware of any bullying experienced by BAG victims.

"From the witnesses we have asked for information, either from the lecturer, then friends from one class and one class from the victim, then even friends from the victim himself did not convey or did not mention that so far they were aware of the bullying experienced by the victim," he said, Monday, October 20.

However, said Trisnadewi, investigators are trying to find other clues regarding evidence of bullying by checking the victim's cell phone (cell phone).

Investigators asked the family to be allowed to see or open the victim's cellphone, maybe the information will be found on the cellphone.

However, the family did not allow them to open the victim's cellphone.

"From the mother's side, we have accepted the incident as a disaster and do not want to extend this matter to legal channels. So, we cannot get access to the cellphone," he said.

The police also could not carry out an autopsy because they did not get permission from the victim's family.

Thus, he said, to prove that the alleged bullying was the cause of BAG's death being constrained by access to the victim's cellphone.

However, investigators are still opening communication with the family to gain access to the victim's cellphone while collecting other clues.

"To prove whether there is bullying, we have to go through a series of processes as well. We want to see from the victim's cellphone that we can't because the mother has said that it is no longer pleasing to this case to continue the legal process," explained Laksmi.

University of Udayana Timothy Anugerah Saputra (TAS) student was found dead after falling from the fourth floor of the FISIP campus building, Udayana University, Sudirman Denpasar Campus, Wednesday (15/10) morning.

BAG is a student of FISIP University Udayana. The victim was rushed to RSUPProf. Ngoerah Denpasar after being found seriously injured.
