The government announced the allocation of the Cash Direct Assistance (BLT) budget worth IDR 30 trillion for more than 35 million beneficiary families (KPM) in the last three months.

Cabinet Secretary Lt. Col. Teddy Indra Wijaya said the allocation of these funds was the result of the government's budget efficiency since early 2025.

This additional BLT, which is given in the amount of IDR 300 thousand per month for the period October, November, and December, is intended for families who are included in the 1-4 deposit based on national socio-economic data (DSEN).

"The three-month BLT was the result of the budget efficiency carried out by the government earlier this year. So the total for 35.04 million KPM was Rp. 30 trillion, where did it come from? Got it from the budget efficiency that was implemented by the government earlier last year," said Seskab Teddy, quoted from ANTARA, Monday, October 20, 2025.

This assistance is additional, outside the regular BLT that has been distributed by the Ministry of Social Affairs to 20.88 million KPM through the Family Hope Program (PKH) and basic food assistance. With this addition, the total beneficiaries reached more than 55 million KPM.

Efficiency for People's Welfare

Seskab Teddy explained that the main goal of the government to make budget efficiency is to reallocate these funds into the people's welfare program which can directly encourage economic growth.

With an estimated family of four members, this BLT is estimated to reach around 140 million people.

"This is why we are doing efficiency, so what is not yet necessary, what has not been achieved we have transferred here. And this is the result, in this next week 35 million families can feel which means covering 140 million people," explained Teddy.

Teddy added that the BLT for the 35.04 million KPM had been launched since Friday (17/10) and began disbursing this Monday. Distribution is carried out simultaneously through Himbara banks and PT Pos Indonesia.

"The three months they are entitled to Rp300,000 each a month. Starting Monday, next week they can be taken, meaning that one take immediately gets Rp900,000," said Teddy.

Seskab hopes that the assistance can be used by recipient families to meet various needs, especially during school, and help boost the community's economy.
