Seskab Teddy Make Sure Social Assistance For 35.4 Million KPM Starts Liquid Monday Tomorrow

TANGERANG - Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Lt. Col. Teddy Indra Wijaya ensured that the Temporary Cash Direct Assistance (BLTS) stimulus program which will be distributed to 35.04 million beneficiary families (KPM) will be disbursed on Monday, October 20.

"So in 3 months, October, November, December, there will be additional direct cash assistance. So the point is, in 3 months they are entitled to Rp300,000 each a month. Later starting Monday, next Sunday they can be taken, meaning that one time they can get Rp900,000.000, "said Teddy in Tangerang, Antara, Sunday, October 19.

He explained that the assistance would be distributed through Himbara banks and PT Pos Indonesia. BLTS is provided by the government to maintain people's purchasing power.

Where, he said, the BLTS program was launched on Friday, October 16 by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Airlangga Hartanto.

"The Minister of Social Affairs has called him directly, the Himbara banks, then the Post office as well, so it can be confirmed on Monday, and the following days the money, the BLT can be received immediately, and of course as expected by the President," he said.

Seskab also said that the 3-month aid was the result of the budget efficiency carried out by the government of President Prabowo Subianto at the beginning of this year.

"So the total was for 35.04 million beneficiary families, worth more than Rp. 30 trillion," he said.

Meanwhile, Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf explained that President Prabowo's government was very concerned about policies for the poor. However, the government also continues to add assistance to the lowest group as a beneficiary.

"The 2025 budget ceiling has IDR 71 trillion for 20 million KPM. But in the era of Mr. President Prabowo, it was increased to more than IDR 110 trillion and this may be the largest in history," he said.
