A Year Of Prabowo-Gibran Government Claimed To Show Significant Progress In Regional Development

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) emphasized that one year of President Prabowo Subianto's administration showed significant progress in strengthening cross-ministerial collaboration to encourage national economic growth.

AHY said that the first year of President Prabowo's leadership was an important momentum in overseeing the realization of the Asta Cita program which emphasized the equitable development and welfare of the people throughout Indonesia.

"Hopefully all progress this year can be even better capital so that our work is more targeted, effective, has a direct impact on our society and our economic growth," AHY said on the sidelines of attending the Open House 24 Hours Full which was held by the Ministry of Transmigration, followed by ANTARA, Saturday, October 19.

As the Coordinating Minister for infrastructure and regional development, AHY is committed to continuing to strengthen strategic cooperation between five ministries that have a direct role in regional economic development.

He admitted that he continued to encourage and present close collaboration between the five ministries under the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development.

The five ministries include the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning (ATR)/National Land Agency (BPN); Ministry of Public Works (PU); Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP); Ministry of Transportation; including the Ministry of Transmigration.

He explained that the collaboration includes the Ministry of ATR/BPN for land and spatial planning, the Ministry of Public Works for basic infrastructure, as well as the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas in providing decent housing.

In addition, the Ministry of Transportation plays a role in strengthening inter-regional connectivity, while the Ministry of Transmigration under the leadership of Minister Muhammad Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara shows significant progress in building new growth centers.

AHY assessed that the various integrated steps carried out by the relevant ministries are strong evidence of the increasingly effective, measurable, and in favor of improving people's welfare in various regions.

Although he did not specify the achievement in detail, AHY is optimistic that the first year of Prabowo's administration will become a strong foundation for development to have a real impact on creating jobs, reducing poverty, and reducing regional gaps.

In the same place, the Minister of Transmigration (Mentrans) Muhammad Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara emphasized that one of the important achievements during the one year reign of President Prabowo Subianto was the government's success in resolving the issue of property rights certificates (SHM) which were delayed by 38 years from transmigrants.

"There are so many transmigrants who have not received certificates of ownership. And that process has been a long time, some 10 (years), 20 years old do not have a certificate. Some even have 38 years without a certificate," said the Minister of Transmigration.

Iftitah said that until now the government has succeeded in issuing more than 7,000 SHMs for transmigrants throughout Indonesia within one year.

He emphasized that this achievement is not just a number, but a tangible form of state presence in providing legal certainty and justice for transmigrants who have been waiting for their rights for decades.
