Meet The KPK Leadership, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Bahas Tiang Monorel Mangkrak And Sumber Waras Hospital

JAKARTA - The Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, held a meeting with the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday (16/10) to discuss a number of crucial issues in the capital city. The two main issues discussed were the plan to demolish the stalled monorel pole on Jalan Rasuna Said, as well as reuse the land of the Sumber Waras Hospital (RS).

"We have received directions," Pramono told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

Monorel Poles Unloaded Soon

Regarding the monorail pole that had been neglected for a long time, Pramono ensured that the demolition would be carried out soon. He said the unfinished project not only endangered motorists but also damaged the city's aesthetics.

"Often accidents occur and then also look bad and often cause traffic jams," said the former Cabinet Secretary of President Jokowi's era.

Pramono targets that the arrangement and demolition of monorail poles can be started and completed by 2026.

Sumber Waras Hospital Will Be Used As A Hospital

The second issue consulted with the KPK is the use of land at the Sumber Waras Hospital, which has stalled since 2014. Pramono said the Jakarta Provincial Government had followed up on the findings of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) at that time.

However, the problem arose because the Tax Object Selling Value (NJOP) of the land had now almost doubled, so it was not possible to sell or release it.

"So we decided and consulted with the KPK so that the land could be used for hospitals. So once again the land will be used for hospitals," said Pramono.

KPK Has Stopped Investigation Of Waras Sources

Bahtiar Ujang Purnama, Director of Coordination and Supervision Region II of the KPK, confirmed that his party had provided accurate information to the Governor of Jakarta regarding the Sumber Waras Hospital.

"That it is true that in 2014 the procurement was carried out by the KPK's investigation steps," said Bahtiar.

Bahtiar added, after an in-depth analysis was carried out, the KPK decided to stop investigating the case.

"KPK has decided that the available evidence is not sufficient for investigation steps so that in the realm of the KPK investigation in 2023 it has stopped investigating the case," he concluded.

At the end of the meeting, Governor Pramono Anung also expressed his appreciation to the KPK for the guidance of preventing corruption within the Jakarta Provincial Government.
