Steve Forbes Praises Prabowo's Diplomacy For Successfully Pushing Gaza Peace

JAKARTA - Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Forbes Media, Steve Forbes praised President Prabowo Subianto for his contribution to promoting peace in Gaza, Palestine. Steve highlighted Prabowo's diplomatic steps in resolving the conflict between Hamas and Israel.

One of the highlights is Prabowo's firm stance during a speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UN) at the United Nations Headquarters, New York, United States on September 23, 2025.

Steve admitted that he was amazed by Prabowo's attitude in calling for a two-state solution for peace in Gaza. Prabowo even emphatically said that all countries, including Muslim countries, should recognize Israel in order to create true peace.

"Some people criticize you, but it shows the firm and visionary leadership the world needs," Steve said at the Forbes Global CEO Conference forum at the St. Regis Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 15 evening.

On this occasion, the boss of the leading US magazine also asked President Prabowo questions regarding his presence at the Sharm el-Sheikh Summit, Egypt, Monday, October 13.

Prabowo then told that the summit was a follow-up to peace efforts in Gaza after being discussed by a number of heads of state at the UN General Assembly, including the President of the United States (US) Donald Trump. As a result, the peace agreement document in Gaza has been signed.

The deal paved the way for the achievement of a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. After the deal, Prabowo said humanitarian aid began to flow into the affected territories and the hostages were reported to have been released.

Although there are still a number of challenges on the ground, the process towards a recovery in the situation in Gaza is considered to be going in a better direction. Prabowo also emphasized Indonesia's readiness to continue to play an active role in maintaining the sustainability of the peace.

"Some bodies are still being sought. There is still hope that we can get through this and Indonesia is willing to be part of it. If they need peacekeeping forces, then we are willing to provide them," said Prabowo.
