However, Morse experienced several sad events where his father, mother, and wife died so he decided to go to Europe to calm down.

On the way, he met a scientist named Charles Thomas Jackson and later became involved in discussions about electricity.

After the conversation, Morse began making mechanical sketches of the theory of the development of the telegraph of a tool that scientists in Europe were also developing at that time.

In 1838, Morse became acquainted with a well-known inventor named Alfred Vail who will become an investor for the development of a line and point system used in the process of transmitting signals in his experiments.
