JAKARTA - The commercial area of Meikarta Cikarang District 2, Bekasi Regency, West Java has turned into a war zone. A total of 992 TNI soldiers from the ranks of the Jaya Military Command were deployed to the location.

Not a real war, hundreds of soldiers consisting of Yonif 203 / AK Unit with Panzer Anoa fighting vehicles, Yonkav 9 / SDK driving Scorpion Tanks, Yonarhanud 10 / ABC armed with Mistral missiles, Armed 7/105 GS with 155 Cannons, and Denzipur 3 / ATD driving a Jihandak car is practicing.

Pangdam Jaya, Maj. Gen. Dudung Abdurachman, said that the integrated combat-ready test training at the company, raider battalion and platoon levels was intended for the readiness of soldiers.

"We want to see the extent to which our soldiers are prepared to carry out their main task of securing the Republic of Indonesia, especially when facing city battles and close combat," said Pangdam Jaya Maj. Gen. TNI Dudung Abdurachman in Cikarang as reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 18.

He said the combat ready test was also a preparation for the Battle Team Battalion (YTP) training assignment in Baturaja, South Sumatra on June 5, 2021.

Dudung said that the choice of Kota Baru Meikarta as a combat training location was due to Meikarta's characteristics that met the requirements to be used as a close combat area.

"In Baturaja, the characteristics of the location will also be similar to here. Meikarta is ideal, there are buildings that have not been used, under construction, very suitable for city battles. If it is carried out in Jakarta it is not possible, we have to close the office first and so on, it is difficult. once, "he said.

Soldiers of the Jaya Military Command, he said, must be prepared to anticipate the possibility of a bad situation occurring in the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings, especially when dealing with an enemy in a city battle.

"This exercise is prepared for handling small groups in buildings or indoors, not only for combat units but also for close range firing troops," he said.

"After this training, you return to the unit and the security factor is still the priority because we still have a lot of work to do. Keep practicing so that you are always in good physical shape, show you are professional soldiers and are worthy of being the soldiers of choice to serve at the Jaya Kodam," he added. he.

Meikarta President Director Reza Jazwin Chatab supports the training of TNI soldiers at the Jaya Military Command in District 2 of Meikarta. He hopes that through this exercise, the cooperation that has been well established can be further enhanced.
