Bogor Targets 570 Free Nutrition Food Kitchens To Operate This Year

BOGOR Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto stated that the Regency Government had prepared concrete steps to accelerate the implementation of the free nutritious eating program.

"Of the 238 location points prepared for the Free Nutrition Food kitchen or the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG), more than 100 kitchens are already in operation. We are currently in the process of verifying 90 other kitchens. Our target is to build a total of 570 MBG kitchens in Bogor Regency," said Rudy, Monday, October 13.

In addition to expanding the reach of the MBG kitchen, Rudy emphasized that the Bogor Regency Government also pays great attention to the quality of food and environmental aspects.

The Health Service together with the Environment Agency have prepared a certification process for the Sanitation Higiene Laik Certificate (SLHS) to ensure that the kitchens meet health and hygiene standards.

"The waste problem is also our concern. We have discussed the waste processing mechanism from each kitchen so as not to cause environmental impacts," he explained.

Rudy emphasized that the Bogor Regency Government is ready to collaborate with the central government and all stakeholders to ensure that the MBG program runs optimally and on target.

"We want this program to really have an impact on improving the nutritional quality of children, so that they grow into a healthy, intelligent and strong generation," he said.

Previously, the Head of the Indonesian National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, explained that this consolidation meeting was an important momentum to strengthen cross-regional synergy in the implementation of the MBG program.

"Collaboration between all stakeholders is very important so that the implementation of MBG runs optimally. This program targets various groups, ranging from pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, children in the womb, to students as a form of investment to produce Indonesia's golden generation 2045," said Dadan.

With the acceleration of the construction of hundreds of MBG kitchens and the implementation of strict health standards, Bogor Regency is one of the most progressive areas in supporting the implementation of the Free Nutrition Food program at the national level.
