BOGOR - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) will carry out rapid tests in all providers of nutritious food providers (SPPG) as part of efforts to strengthen the cleaning and safety standards of the Nutrition Food Program (MBG) according to the President's direction.

Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana said the rapid test had gone through the trial stage at 10 SPPG and would soon be expanded nationally.

This step is taken to ensure that the food consumed by the public, especially school children, is truly safe and hygienic.

"This is part of the President's order so that every SPPG is ready to carry out a cleaning test. We have circulated the vendor number and this week the procurement will be carried out simultaneously," said Dadan during the MBG Regional Consolidation activity at SICC Sentul, Bogor, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 13.

According to Dadan, his party has prepared 10 to 15 official vendors to provide rapid test kits to all SPPGs operating in various regions. This rapid test is one of the main instruments in the standardization of nutritional supervision and food hygiene.

The rapid test policy is a form of the government's responsibility in maintaining the quality and trust of the community in the MBG Program. With a quick test, each service provider will have measurable health and hygiene data.

In addition, BGN also plans to assign 5,000 professional cooks who are members of the International Chef Association to accompany all new SPPGs for at least five days.

"These cooks will assist in the process of selecting raw materials, processing, and sending food according to nutritional standards and hygiene," explained Dadan.

He emphasized that assistance by professionals is needed to ensure that all stages of food processing follow the principles of food safety and established nutritional standards.

BGN is also preparing large budget support to strengthen the implementation of the MBG Program next year. In 2026 the total budget allocated will reach Rp335 trillion, consisting of Rp268 trillion in the main ceiling and Rp67 trillion in ready-to-use funds.

"With strong budget support and a strict monitoring system, we want to ensure that all people benefit from the MBG Program with the best quality," he said.

Dadan emphasized that the combination of testing technology, professional assistance, and fiscal support will be the main pillar of the success of the MBG program nationally.
