Motorcycle Gang Member In Makassar Dies After Boxing Car Collision

One of three people suspected of being a member of a motorcycle gang crashed into a van while trying to cause trouble on the street was declared dead after being rushed to Bayangkara Hospital in Makassar, South Sulawesi.

"The report was an accident, there were complaints from the public, so members who patrolled went straight there. The report hit a box car," said Tamalate Police Chief Kompol Syarifuddin, in Makassar, Saturday.

The incident occurred when they crossed Jalan Daeng Tata Raya, Tamalate District, in the early hours of Saturday (11/10). Residents who saw the incident immediately reported to the police.

From the information obtained, they wanted to cause trouble on the streets by riding a motorbike. From the results of the inspection and search at the crime scene (TKP), evidence of launchers and arrows or bows was found.

One person known to have the initials MA suffered serious injuries, was rushed to Bayangkara Hospital, but his life could not be saved. Two other people were declared safe, one was hospitalized and the other was handed over to the Panakukang Police because he was on the wanted list.

"There were three people. Found a sharp bow type weapon. One person was taken by his family for death, one is still being treated at the hospital and the other is being taken by a member of the Panakukang Police. He was picked up for carrying out evictions in the area," he said.

When asked if they were affected by alcohol while driving, and the box car that was hit was parked or walking on the highway, Syarifuddin did not specify, because witness statements were still being collected.

In addition, at the time of the incident, local residents immediately saw the accident until the police arrived at the scene and took them to the hospital.

From the video circulating on social media, it can be seen that the three of them are on the highway, one of them is lying on the street with his face covered in fresh blood. The location of the accident was also surrounded by residents.
