Secretary General Of PKB Urges SPPG To Pay Attention To The Quality Of MBG Menu Raw Materials

MALANG - Secretary General of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Hasanuddin Wahid appealed to every manager of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) to pay attention to the quality of raw materials so that the Free Nutrition Food menu is distributed to students according to standards.

Hasanuddin in Malang City, East Java, Saturday, said that the quality of the raw materials used will determine the feasibility for consumption and prevent the emergence of poisoning cases like some time ago.

"First of all, friends who operate the kitchen should unite and the most important thing is the safety of children. Therefore, it must bring quality, hygienic, and suitable food for consumption," said Hasanuddin.

He also suggested that the SPPG manager calculate the suitability between the processing hours of raw materials and cook the MBG menu with distribution to schools.

He suggested that the MBG menu production process should not be too far from the schedule for delivery to schools, so that food packages were still in good condition when distributed to students.

"If it is distributed at 8 am, the cooking is 3 to 4 am still good. So, about an hour before consumption is finished and sent," he said.

In addition, Hasanuddin said that the government had taken appropriate steps in responding to the poisoning of students in several areas which allegedly occurred after consuming the MBG menu package, namely through audit efforts, evaluation, and assistance to SPPG in processing raw materials.

He said the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) needed to be more massive in involving the role of local governments in carrying out the supervision process in each SPPG.

This is because the success of the MBG program depends on the involvement of many parties, including district and city governments and provincial governments.

"Later it can be discussed in this line of government structures. I heard that every kitchen must have a Sanitation Higiene Certificate (SLHS) that issues the area, one form of the role of the regional government," he said.
