JAKARTA - Israeli hostages who were held in the Gaza Strip by the Hamas group are expected to be released on Saturday or Sunday this week.
CNN reported Thursday 9 October that the estimated time of the hostages being released was based on the first phase of the ceasefire peace agreement between Israel and Hamas.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hopes that all hostages held in Gaza can be repatriated.
Hamas also expressed his hope to US President Donald Trump as the mediator of the ceasefire to make Israel carry out the terms of the agreement.
"[We ask] the occupation government of [Israel] to fully implement the terms of the agreement," Hamas said in a statement, quoted from Al Jazeera.
As for the peace agreement that occurred, Israel often did not comply with the terms and the ceasefire agreement with Hamas.
