South Jakarta City Government Gives SP1 To Barito Bird Market Traders Don't Want To Move

The City Government (Pemkot) of South Jakarta has begun to provide warning letter (SP) 1 to traders of the Barito Bird Market who are still occupying Barito Market and are not yet willing to be relocated.

Head of the Legal Section of the South Jakarta Administrative City, Dedi Rohedi, said that the provision of SP1 to traders in the JS 25, 26, 30, and 96 blocks was a follow-up to the instructions of the Mayor of East Jakarta in rearranging the area.

"We have given them a long time with the aim of giving them the opportunity to change their mindset. We make sure the government always gives the best to its citizens, including MSME players," said Dedi, Wednesday, October 8.

He explained that the warning letter would be given in stages. SP1 is valid for 7x24 hours, followed by SP2 for 3x24 hours, and SP3 for 1x24 hours.

After all the stages are complete, the South Jakarta City Government will coordinate with related elements to ensure that the process runs in an orderly manner and remains in favor of the community.

"After that, we will continue to coordinate with related elements to continue to provide the best service to the community," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Operations for the South Jakarta Satpol PP, Ali Haryanto, emphasized that the SP1 was handed over directly to traders and affixed to closed kiosks.

"The leadership directive clearly takes a humane approach. That's what we have applied in the field," said Ali.

It is known that the DKI Provincial Government has started building the Pusaka Flag Park since Friday, August 8, 2025. The arrangement for the merger of Langsat Park, Ayodya Park, and Leuser Park has resulted in the Barito Market traders being relocated to temporary places.

With an area of almost six hectares, this park will be facilitated by bridge connecting bridges (link bridges), jogging tracks, children's playgrounds, multipurpose rooms, and amphitheaters open to art and cultural performances.

Meanwhile, the construction of the Jakarta Fauna and Culinary Centers in Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta is almost complete. It is targeted that the new land, which is the relocation of the Barito Bird Market trader, will be completed by the end of September 2025.
