DKI APBD Cuts IDR 15 Trillion Due To Central Policy, Pramono: The Big Budget Era And Non-Strict Control Ends

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono held a plenary leadership meeting by collecting all officials from the DKI Provincial Government and regional-owned enterprises (BUMD).

One of the things discussed was the central government's decision to cut the transfer funds in the form of profit-sharing funds (DBH) to the regions. In Jakarta, the central government cut DBH up to Rp15 trillion.

"Whatever this is, it has become the decision of the central government. So we have no other choice, except to carry out what is the decision of the central government," Pramono said in a meeting at the City Hall of DKI Jakarta, Monday, October 6.

The DPRD and the DKI Provincial Government have actually planned the Jakarta APBD next year with a nominal jumbo amount of IDR 95.35 trillion.

From that design, it is projected that transfer receipts from the central government in 2026 will reach Rp26 trillion.

However, with the recent DBH cuts from the Ministry of Finance, Pramono revealed that next year's DKI APBD projections had to be reduced to IDR 79.06 trillion.

"The budget era is big and so far the control is not strict, it's over, it's over," said Pramono.

Therefore, Pramono decided to make budget efficiency from the work programs of the DKI Provincial Government which will run next year.

"The Deputy Governor and I will directly lead the use of this budget. All OPDs must make efficiency. We carry out a thorough evaluation, combing back non-priority spending," Pramono explained.

However, Pramono emphasized that his subordinates should not interfere with the budget allocation for the distribution of social assistance directly felt by the community.

"What should not be reduced are KJP and KJMU, because this is the basis for all of us to make improvements in Jakarta, especially for families who are less fortunate or unable to afford it," he added.
