Former Deputy Attorney General Darmono Dies At The Age Of 71

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office confirmed that the former Deputy Attorney General Darmono passed away on Monday, October 6.

"It's true (died)," said Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, confirmed in Jakarta, quoted by ANTARA Monday, October 6.

Anang said Darmono died at Medistra Hospital, South Jakarta, due to illness. However, he did not explain the details of the illness suffered by the deceased.

He said the late Darmono was buried at the funeral home in East Ciputat, South Tangerang.

It is known, Darmono is an Adhyaksa person who was born on June 5, 1953 in Klaten, Central Java.

Darmono received a law degree from the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) Yogyakarta, master of management from STIE IPWI Jakarta, and a doctorate from Padjadjaran University, Bandung.

Darmono started his career as a prosecutor since 1981 by becoming Head of the Operations Section of the Raba District Attorney's Office in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

During his career, he has held various structural positions, including the Head of the West Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office, the Head of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office, the Inspector Pidsus Datun, the Head of the Indonesian Attorney General's Education and Training Center, the Junior Attorney General for Supervision (Jamwas), to the Deputy Attorney General for Development (Jambin).

He officially served as Deputy Attorney General in 2009 until his retirement in 2013.

In 2010, he was appointed as Acting Attorney General to fill the vacant position of Attorney General, who at that time was abandoned by Hendarman Supandji because he was dismissed.
