Attending TNI's 80th Anniversary, President Prabowo: Thank You For Your Service

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto attended the TNI's 80th Anniversary commemoration at Monas, Jakarta, today, Sunday 5 October. In the event, the President acted as Inspector of Ceremonies.

After the soldiers paid tribute to the inspector of the ceremony, Prabowo then inspected the troops by traveling around using TNI vehicles.

Accompanied by Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Prabowo greeted all the soldiers and was grateful. It was also seen behind the group of the President, Deputy TNI Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita and the head of the three dimensions.

"Thank you for your service," said Prabowo while saluting from the vehicle.

In addition to being attended directly by President Prabowo Subianto, the TNI's 80th Anniversary at Monas was also attended by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"Thank you for your service," Prabowo repeated.

As is known, the Indonesian National Army (TNI) held the commemoration of its 80th Anniversary (HUT) at the National Monument (Monas), Jakarta, on Sunday, October 5. The TNI's 80th anniversary carries the theme "TNI Prima, TNI Rakyat, Indonesia Maju".

Head of the Information Center (Kapuspen) TNI Headquarters Major General TNI (Mar) Freddy Ardianzah explained, bringing the slogan "TNI Prima" illustrates the vision of the TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto so that this defense institution is always professional, responsive, integrative, modern, and adaptive.

Meanwhile, the "TNI Rakyat" refers to the identity of the TNI as a people's army, warrior soldiers, professional soldiers, as well as national soldiers. The "Indonesia Maju" means that the TNI not only strengthens combat capabilities, but also supports national programs through military operations other than war (OMSP).

A total of 133,000 TNI personnel were involved in the peak event of the TNI's 80th Anniversary commemoration which was held at the Monas crossing today. In addition to 133,000 TNI personnel, 1,047 main weapons system equipment (alutsista) will also be deployed for parades, defiles, and demonstrations of soldiers' skills from land, sea and air dimensions.
